Dhaka National Medical College is a reputed private medical college in Bangladesh. The college started its journey in the year 1925. After the Independence of Bangladesh in the year 1972, the educational function of the Dhaka National Medical Institute was stopped although the associated hospital remained active. The educational function restarted in the year 1994 with the creation of the Dhaka National Medical College. The first batch was 1994-95 with 63 medical students. The hospital is open for patients with a capacity of 850 beds.Dhaka National Medical College has an 11-floor centrally air-conditioned building, with an all-out floor space of 1.54 lakh sq ft. The building includes a big library with 6000+ books to explore for students, a canteen that serves nutritious and tasty food for the students, computer labs, laboratories, etc.
